  12.    This is the WWW server of the Principia Cybernetica Project (PCP). The
  13.    Project's aim is the computer-supported collaborative development of
  14.    an evolutionary-systemic philosophy. Put more simply, PCP tries to
  15.    tackle age-old philosophical questions with the help of the most
  16.    recent cybernetic theories and technologies. If you are a new reader,
  17.    or just want to understand the basics of what PCP does, check out the
  18.    introduction.

  20.    New!: we are running an experiment with a hypertext that adapts itself
  21.    to its users. Please excuse us for the possibly slow reaction of the
  22.    server, caused by this additional load .

  29.    PCP is dedicated to the development of an evolutionary world-view
  30.    which we call MetaSystem Transition Theory. This node links to the
  31.    major theoretical results of PCP. The practical methods and tools used
  32.    by PCP are detailed in Project Organization. The Overview provides a
  33.    formal summary of the project as a whole.

  35.    PCP has gathered a lot of background material on the domain of
  36.    Cybernetics and Systems Theory, including a Glossary of terms. We
  37.    also maintain a detailed list of Internet resources about related
  38.    subjects, including complex systems, man-machine interaction,
  39.    cognition, philosophy, evolution, networking, and knowledge
  40.    integration.

  64.    polished, and improved. We apologize for the as yet unfinished
  65.    documents. Nodes followed by the mention "[empty]" don't contain any
  66.    text yet, but provide a menu of linked nodes. Some of the most
  67.    important results have not yet been converted to hypertext, but may be
  68.    found in one of the papers in our FTP-archive.
